Trouble with ebook of new Callan method 2012 [English]
There is the famous trouble with ebook of Callan method 2012. The DRM (digital right management) of the ebook is strengthened from the old Callan method. You cannot copy and print out PDF file. You can only read it on computer by using Adobe reader - Adobe Digital Editions.There is a serious trouble with the ebook. When you restore your PC, you cannot install the ebook into your computer. If you change the motherboard or hard drive, you cannot install the book in a new PC.
I discarded the ebook of the level 5 and level 6. I don't want to buy them again.
I want Callan school to change the policy. At least, if we use the Adobe ID, we can re-install the ebooks into our new computer when we do not use the old one any more.
Honestly speaking, I have a solution for the problem. But, I cannot tell the way in my blog. Please search the word "DRM" and "PDF" by Google or so.
Callan Method New (2012) Edition [English]
Callan method is now renewed to 2012 edition. I also changed my lesson to the new edition at the stage 4. Certainly the new edition is up to date. The old edition has some old expressions such as "whilst", "Master", "Have I two ears?" and etc.
However, the ebook of the new edition is strictly controlled by DRM. So, I cannot print out and copy the ebook to other computers. I can read it in only one computer. I cannot feel the progress of my English Skill. [English]
I'm irritated by my English Skill. I cannot improve my English skill as I want to. I started again Callan method in September. I am in the stage 4 of Callan. I cannot feel my progress.
So, I'm considering a short stay in Philippines while the Golden Week. But, it'll be only one week. I think that is not enough for improvement of English skill. However, I want to improve my English skill.

I found the website of the overseas education in Philippines. The cost of that is very cheaper than that in America or England. It is very attractive for me.
However, the website says that it takes two months to feel progress of ability of English. I have a job. So, I cannot stay there so long. I have to give up the plan of overseas education in Philippines.

I decided to watch foreign TV program without Japanese subtitles. [English]
I like foreign TV programs. However, I watch them with Japanese subtitles so far. It is not useful for training English skill. So, I decided to watch the TV programs without Japanese subtitles. But, I cannot understand 80% of the conversation within the programs. So, I will start to enjoy the programs with English subtitles at first. The final goal is to watch the programs without any kind of subtitles.

I stopped learning English. Because I was psychologically ill. However, I became well. So, I restart learning English. I learn English at a web school. The school is "QQ English". The school provide the lesson using "Callan method". Callan method is the way to learn English by answering the question of teachers at quick speed.
I was at the stage 3 six month ago. However, I stopped learning English, then I went back to the beginning of the stage 2.
Callan method is 50 years old. So, some part is out of date, then new version of the method was released. It is called as "Callan method 2012 Edition".

Web English School [English]
After finishing English conversation school, I need to maintain my English speaking skill. However, it cost too much to go to English conversation school. So, I find out some Web Englsih school, and decided try them.
The first web school is "English Bell" becasue I was interested in "Callan" method. The method was created in England far ago and accoding to the metiod, people can learn English four times as fast as usual.
English Bell's teacher is very qualified. However, the sound of skype is quite bad. That's because the qualtiy of communication (internet) line is wrong. So, I hesitate to keep learing in "Englsih Bell".

The scond web school is "Skytalk" because this school offers one week free lesson. I have just finished the lessons.
Some teachers in Skytalk are so sofisticated, but others teachers are not. However, all of them are very good people and conversation with them are very chearful. I mean the conversation is just a chat, not learnnig Englsih. Novertheless, if I want to keep English speaking skill, just "KEEP", chearful conversation may be enough for this perpose.
By the way, the sound of skype is good in Skytalk. However, somteimes it is bad.

I have been able to communicate with a foreigner in Englsih. [English]
I could not communicate with a foreigner in Englsih one year ago. However, I have been able to communicate in conversatoin with English Specaker in English. I could make a foreign friend.
I tried shadowing for one month. And I already mentioned in this blog, I had intensive lesson in English convesation school. And after that, I went to the school for half a year in the normal way. I mean I went to the school twice a week for half a year. I have two lesson a day, so I have four lessons a week. I totally eighty lessons for half a year.
One of my foreign friend was the Englsih teacher of the school. He has already retired the job.
Anyway, it is joyful to make a conversation with foreigner in English, isn't it?

A certain Japanese company purchased a American company.
After an purchase agreement, they began to discuss about after-deal matter such as governance, retention plan and also restructuring.
When the meeting began in the head quarter of the purchased company,
An American representatives said "Thank you for today's meeting. We have a lot of things to be discussed. Then, the first thing is .......... What do you think about our suggestion?"
A Japanese representatives said "I think your suggestion is quite responsible. But, I need to ask my boss. I cannot decided it by myself now."
An American representatives said "OK. So, the next thins is ........... How about this?"
A Japanese representatives said "Sorry. I must say again I have to ask my boss about the second thing."
An American representatives said "So, the third thing is .............. What do you think?"

Both of the attendants of a meeting are not native speaker of English. They speak broken English. And they are not care about socialization. They manage to understand what they are saying each other. In the situation, the most important thing is to avoid misunderstanding and making clear the conclusion of the meeting.
In our company, human resource department prepares many English training courses, which always say socialization is very important because foreign visitors judge from what you act in the meeting, not from what you say.
I don’t think so. Foreign co-workers in subsidiaries come a long way to Japan to achieve the goal and don’t care about socialization, and they are used to Japanese customs.
So, the most important thing is to understand exactly what they are saying in the meeting for me. Then, most of the English course my company prepare is not useful for me.
