I made a funny story in English based on a true story. It's a some kind of English Joke.
A certain Japanese company purchased a American company.
After an purchase agreement, they began to discuss about after-deal matter such as governance, retention plan and also restructuring.
When the meeting began in the head quarter of the purchased company,
An American representatives said "Thank you for today's meeting. We have a lot of things to be discussed. Then, the first thing is .......... What do you think about our suggestion?"
A Japanese representatives said "I think your suggestion is quite responsible. But, I need to ask my boss. I cannot decided it by myself now."
An American representatives said "OK. So, the next thins is ........... How about this?"
A Japanese representatives said "Sorry. I must say again I have to ask my boss about the second thing."
An American representatives said "So, the third thing is .............. What do you think?"
A Japanese representatives said "Sorry. I must say again I have to ask my boss about this too."
An American representatives finally said "OK. OK. I know the Japanese style. Certainly you should ask your boss. But, you shouldn't ask him what to do. You should ask him to come here."
That's all. Isn't it funny?
