"Avatar" and "2012"

I was disappointed the movie "AVATAR" and "2012". I watched them in this winter vacation. I didn't think the movie might be interesting. My guess was right. They are typical Hollywood movies. "AVATAR" is the movie in which Hero appears, fights against his enemy and finally gets victory. It's quite typical to American movies. "2012" is the movie in which VFX effects are great but the story is poor. It's also typical Hollywood movie. And one more, the movie "2012" is not adequate for the people who had severe experience in March 11, 2011.

Impression of the movie "Sunshine2057" and "Sentinel".

1) Sunshine2057
Sunshine2057 is a science fiction movie. The sun is decreasing its power in the near future. So, human-being use a large new clear bomb to recover the power of the sun.
Hiroyuki Sanada plays a roll of captain of the starship that goes to the sun to use the bomb.
I expected the movie is exciting. To the middle of the story, it is very exciting. However, the last of the movie is disappointed. The evaluation is 4.5 of 10.



2) Sentinel
This movie is suspense movie. Secret service saves president of the US from the terrorism attack.
Michael Douglas plays a main roll and Kiefer Sutherland plays an important roll in the story.
Michel Douglas is a smart and great actor. I was exciting about the story. However, in the middle of the movie, I found out who is betrayer. So, the evaluation is 6.5 of 10.

I watched the movie “The Bell of Chirin” at last.

I watched the movie at last. However, I was a little disappointed at the movie. The movie is less impressive than 30 years ago. One of the reasons is that I grew up to an adult. Therefore, I do not have a pure mind like children. The other reason is that I might have much expectation about the movie. Despite of those first impressions, I think this movie is still great movie. Although a little disappointed, I cannot stop my tears. I shed tears when I was listening to the opening theme song. The song said that the Bell of Chirin remind us sadness of the life or sorrow of the living. I cannot believe the movie is designed for children. I must amend the impression “heartwarming story”. Certainly it is too cruel and shocking for children. The movie is asking us “What is the true strength?” However, the movie did not provide the answer. The answer must be thought by the watcher itself. The end of the movie shakes the watcher off. I think the movie like this will be never made in the future. The movie is last and only one movie. Therefore, I suggest you to watch the movie with your children. But I must warn you that you should watch the movie with your husband or wife before with your children and discuss with each other whether you show the movie to your children.

Is "Chirin no Suzu" ("The Bell of Chirin") a good moive or a bad movie?

The movie “Chirin no Suzu” (“The Bell of Chirin”) caught my mind. Therefore, I checked the reputation of the movie around some blogs. I found out pros and cons about the movie. Someone said that it is a trauma movie because it is too cruel for children. Another person said it is just like a Japanese gang movie. A lovely small sheep grew up a wild animal and avenged its parents. On the other hand, someone said it may be an ironical movie but it is also an unforgettable movie. Another said it couldn’t be watched without tear just like me. I may have to agree that the movie is cruel and ironical but I would like to vote the opinion that it is still a good movie. Anyway I will try to watch the movie again for the first time in about thirty years and report the impression about the movie from the viewpoint of adult.

I watched the nostalgic movie today.

I watched the movie "THE MOUSE AND HIS CHILD" (Japanese title “Oyako Nezumi No Fushigina Tabi”) today. This movie I watched almost 30 years ago in a movie theater. I was in an elementary school those days. This movie is one of famous children literature. This movie is certainly heartwarming story. I feel nostalgic about this movie. Therefore I watched this movie. The movie is produced by Sanrio. This movie certainly touched my heart but I was more impressed with the short movie shown at the same time. The movie is titled “Chirin No Suzu” (Translation in English “The Bell of Chirin”). This movie is very sad story. I cannot remember the title. But I searched web site and found out a blog about the movie. The author of the blog wrote the movie was very impressed and very sad, but very heartwarming story. I completely agreed with her. I think no one can watch the movie without tear. I want to watch the movie again. According to her, the movie is originally written by Mr. Takashi Yanase. He is one of the most famous writers of children literature. His most famous work is “Anpan-Man”. I am also surprised by the fact that he wrote the story “The Bell of Chirin”. I think I cannot forget the movie.

The movie "From Dusk Till Dawn"

I watched this movie “From Dusk Till Dawn". I could not understand this movie. The first half of this movie is a serious crime suspense movie. But the latter half is a horror movie. I could not catch up with the sudden change. The leading role is played by George Clooney. Quentin Tarantino is also playing an important role. However, Cheech Marin plays three different roles in this movie. I decided to watch this movie because George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino play in this movie. But I was disappointed by the movie. If I were a ardent fan of Quentin Tarantino, I could enjoy this movie.

Watching two movies today

Today I watched two movies. The one is 'The phantom of the opera' and the other is 'Mrs. Doubt fire'. The former is a little long for me and is made in musical style. I do not like the musical style movie so much. The latter is a comedy. The movie is quite old but very funny and interesting movie. The leading role is played by Robin Williams. He got the prize of Golden Globe to this movie. The good movie has been great for many years.
