Windows2000 can run on the motherboard M2A-VM.

This is the technical tips for the motherboard M2A-VM manufactured by ASUSTek.
This motherboard does not support Windows2000 officially.
But, Windows2000 can be used for this motherboard.

1. BIOS version 0402 is needed for Windows2000. If BIOS is earlier than version 0302, installing process of Windows2000 is appended on the way.

2. The attached CD-ROM cannot run on Windows2000 automatically. But, CD-ROM is opened from ‘My Computer’, and after then device drivers for integrated VIDEO, Southbridge, AHCI Serial ATA, HD Audio and Gigabit Ethernet LAN can be installed from each folder in the CD-ROM.

3. ASUSTek does not supply "Cool ‘n’ Quiet Technology" driver for this motherboard. But, AMD Cool ‘n’ Quiet driver (ver1.0.8) for another motherboard (M2R32-MVP) is available for this motherboard. The driver can be downloaded from the ASUSTek’s website. For enabling this technology, AMD Cool ‘n’ Quiet Function setting in CPU configuration on the BIOS set-up menu must be changed to ‘Auto’.
